SHJ: Spartanburg Philharmonic to offer digital concert series, outdoor concerts this fall
Spartanburg Philharmonic is taking the leap into the online realm with its first virtual concert Saturday.
"You'll notice when you see the videos that everyone is wearing masks, except for the winds and brass players when they are playing. We rehearsed and recorded in 30-minute chunks, and then took a 20-minute break so that the air could clear, and we could go around and disinfect the chairs and stands,"

Matt and Adena McDaniel lead an unconventional musical outfit, the six-member Spartanburg Philharmonic Percussion Ensemble. The Ensemble uses an impressive array of percussion instruments — bongos, Chinese opera gongs, cajóns, and more — to perform intriguing musical works. Ahead of their March concert at the Tryon Fine Arts Center, they provided a preview of what to expect.
