Roster
PLEASE NOTE: The following roster lists only those musicians who have signed contracts for this concert. Vacancies and empty chairs are not included here. Seating order for string players will be updated and finalized 4 weeks prior to the first rehearsal, but before that time, the seating is subject to change.
Sheet Music & Listening
For the 2021-2022 season, the Spartanburg Philharmonic will be posting the music folders as PDF downloads rather than mailing folders of printed sheet music. We will then provide high-quality, large printouts or originals at the first rehearsal. Please select your part below to open and download your music.
Musicians may also pick up their physical folders before the first rehearsal at the Spartanburg Philharmonic offices (during regular office hours). For special circumstances, please contact us ASAP so that we can get the music to you in a timely manner.

Below are recordings for each piece on this concert. We have embedded both an Apple and a Spotify playlist, but they are essentially identical. Where there are differences, the recordings on the Apple playlist are the preferred interpretations/tempi.
General Info:
Concert Attire
Our Espresso concerts are a little different than our Classics series. Rather than a prescribed (formal) dress code, concert attire is either discussed at the first rehearsal or via email prior to the first rehearsal (depending on the schedule). Most often, men wear solid-colored, button-down shirts (not matching) with dark pants, and women wear something comparable. However, each show is unique, and the musicians work together with the Artistic Director to create a suitable mood/atmosphere.
There are, of course, a few practical restrictions (below), but for the most part, musicians are encouraged to bring their personalities to the fore!
Restrictions (most concerts):
NO tuxedos/white tie & tails
NO concert black (unless we are performing with a silent film)
NO formal, stuffy nonsense - these concerts are supposed to be fun!
Restrictions (all concerts):
No sandals, sneakers, or other informal footwear, no open-toe shoes or sandals.
No flashy jewelry (metal jewelry is particularly distracting due to stage lighting).
No alarm/beeper watches, cell phones, or pagers; all cell phone ringers and alarms on watches and will be turned off during rehearsals and concerts.
PLEASE refrain from the use of perfumes, colognes, aftershaves, hairsprays, or other heavily scented products in order that neighboring Musicians may play in comfort and without allergic reactions.
Parking & Directions
Please park in the Liberty Street parking lot on the west side of the Chapman Cultural Center. This lot is nearest to the USC Upstate Business School building and the parking garage (see picture below). Enter the building through the door located on the side of the building at the top of the ramp (see picture below). From there, continue straight through two interior doors, and the stage will be immediately on your left (only about 20 feet from the exterior door).
Paychecks
The Spartanburg Philharmonic will issue compensation to each Musician WITHIN TEN BUSINESS DAYS after the final service of a sequence of rehearsals and performances. Please note: checks will not be issued until updated W-4 and I-9 tax forms are received by the Personnel Manager.
Comp Tickets
Subject to ticket availability, the Philharmonic shall provide the musician, upon request, one complimentary ticket to each of the season subscription concerts. The Musician may purchase from the box office any number of additional tickets at a 20% discount, also subject to availability.
