Join us for Music Sandwiched In on April 16th as we welcome a trio of the Upstate’s finest jazz musicians. Bassist Ian Bracchitta, drummer Justin Watt, and pianist John Moody bring years of performing experience to the stage — from symphony halls and Broadway pits to jazz clubs and touring big bands. Together, they’ll serve up a free lunchtime concert full of classic jazz tunes, creative energy, and plenty of soul. Grab your lunch and settle in for a swingin’ good time!
Ian Bracchitta — Bass
Ian Bracchitta is a versatile bassist equally at home in jazz, classical, and popular music. He performs with symphonies across the Carolinas and has shared the stage with jazz greats like Dianne Schuur and Kevin Mahogany. Ian also teaches at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Furman University.
Justin Watt — Drums
Justin Watt is a drummer and percussionist based in Asheville, NC. A former touring member of the Glenn Miller Orchestra, he performs regularly throughout the region in jazz, commercial, and classical settings. Justin also teaches at UNC Asheville, Furman University, and the Asheville Music School.
John Moody — Piano
John Moody is a pianist, composer, and visual artist based in Spartanburg, SC. He performs regularly with jazz ensembles across the Upstate, including the Greenville Jazz Collective and Spartanburg Jazz Ensemble. John holds a Doctorate in Music Composition from Boston University.
