YOUTH ORCHESTRA SITE MANAGER (Part Time)
POSITION:
The Youth Orchestra Site Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Spartanburg Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (SPYO) rehearsals and performances. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, conductors, and staff. The Site Manager serves as the primary on-site coordinator during all rehearsals and concerts, ensuring a positive and productive experience for all participants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Rehearsal & Performance Logistics:
· Oversee and manage all logistics for SPYO rehearsals and performances.
· Set up and tear down ensemble rooms, including chairs, stands, and other necessary equipment.
· Set up check-in table and assist with attendance tracking.
· Ensure rehearsal and performance spaces are appropriately set up.
· Support conductors and artistic staff by addressing any on-site needs.
Student Engagement & Communication:
· Serve as a point of contact for students, parents, and faculty during rehearsals.
· Actively monitor students during rehearsal breaks to ensure safety and proper conduct.
· Take photographs and videos of students during rehearsals for documentation and promotional purposes.
Auditions & Sectionals Support:
· Coordinate with conductors on the chair audition process.
· Support chair auditions, including setup and logistics.
· Assist sectional rehearsals, including room setup and coordination.
Administrative Duties:
· Work with the SPYO team to support overall program operations.
· Collaborate with staff to create and maintain attendance sheets.
· Pass out materials and coordinate with the librarian on music needs.
· Contribute to behind-the-scenes operations of the Youth Orchestra.
