Inclusive leadership is paramount to successful organizations and thriving communities. This experiential learning session amplifies the power of diversity and inclusion to elevate organizational performance. The workshop provides skills training in strategic diversity and intentional inclusion as best practices for effective board governance. Participants will be empowered and equipped to  ensure a pipeline and retention of diverse board candidates and leverage inclusion to enhance decision-making and drive innovation at the board level. Participants will engage in experiential, micro-learning activities and self-reflective guided conversations on topics related to the overall value and management of human difference with emphasis on essentials for disrupting unconscious biases that can hinder relationships and compromise an inclusive culture. Specific learning objectives include:

·  Encourage a more intentional leadership approach to understanding and practicing diversity and inclusion

·  Raise awareness regarding the significance of diversity and inclusion to board governance

·  Learn the dangers of ignoring board diversity and inclusion leadership

·  Understand the challenges of achieving boardroom diversity and hurdles to avoid

·  Learn best practices for strategically building and sustaining boardroom diversity

·  Disrupt unconscious bias with intervention strategies and recognition of implicit associations that lead to discrimination, inequity and exclusion

·  Understand models of board diversity and inclusion action planning, accountability framework and evaluation
