Chandler joined the Spartanburg Philharmonic one year ago and brings with him years of grassroots marketing and box office experience as well as an array of creative skill sets. He has a strong passion for his community and performance based arts including music, theatre and dance (even though he has two left feet). Chandler hopes to take the already growing Philharmonic to new heights and reach new audience members for years to come.

Originally from Rock Hill, SC, Chandler received his BA in Communications and Theatre Arts at the University of South Carolina Upstate right here in Spartanburg. After he graduated, Chandler worked for a number of years for local Burg businesses like Little River Roasting and Hub City Bookshop while pursuing a freelance career in theatre arts. During this time he helped establish and grow two local theatre troupes; Sparkle City Improv and Scrappy Shakespeare. Before joining the Philharmonic, he spent a year and a half as Customer Service Representative at the Peace Center Box Office in Greenville.

Chandler still loves performing and designing for theatres in the Upstate. His recent on-stage performances include Spartanburg Little Theatre's The Great Gatsby as "Jay Gatsby" as well as South Carolina Children's Theatre's production of Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! as "Hot Dog Vendor/Bus Engine/City Worker." Chandler has also done tons of sound and video projection design for SLT including their most recent shows We Will Rock You and Holmes & Watson. On top of all that Chandler spends whatever spare time he has left as a freelance photographer as well as playing Dungeons & Dragons and even some basketball from time to time.

Chandler currently lives in Spartanburg and is proud to call Sparkle City his home.
