Patrick Dupré Quigley to guest conduct Spartanburg Philharmonic (GoUpstate.com)

by Dan Armonaitis – The major component in the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2017-18 season is “Project Maestro,” the organization’s search for a new music director and conductor to replace the recently departed Sarah Ioannides, who held the post for the previous 12 years.

Patrick Dupré Quigley is among three finalists who were chosen to audition by guest conducting an SPO concert this season, and he’ll get his opportunity during Saturday’s performance at Converse College’s Twichell Auditorium.
