Philharmonic Partners
Somewhere in Spartanburg there are young people and families living in challenged circumstances with no idea their lives can be enriched through classical music. Without you, many of them are unlikely to ever discover this. Your special tax deductible contribution of $100 to "Philharmonic Partners" purchases 5-10 concert tickets for those who cannot afford to attend. We work through accredited community agencies who help us to reach the children and families who might otherwise never hear the Spartanburg Philharmonic at Twichell Auditorium.

Youth Concerts
Each year, The Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra performs an annual youth concert for 3,000 graduating elementary school students in the county. These concerts are arranged through the public, private and home school systems.

The Big Red Ticket
Wouldn't it be great if every child had the opportunity to experience the wonder of seeing and hearing a stage full of musicians performing in perfect harmony? They do! The Music Foundation of Spartanburg provides each school aged child in the county a free ticket to the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra to be used at any of our Masterworks Concerts. Tickets are distributed through the schools. Homeschool parents can e-mail us for details. If you've misplaced (or never received) a Big Red Ticket, you can print your own, fill it out completely, and then take it to the Twichell Box Office to redeem for an actual ticket to hand the ushers.

Scholarships
The Music Foundation of Spartanburg supports Converse College's Lawson Academy of the Arts by providing 13 scholarship opportunities annually for aspiring music students.

Master Classes
These classes provide a chance for musicians to study with renowned artists. Event registration is required. For registration information, call The Music Foundation of Spartanburg office: (864) 948-9020. Watch the calendar of events for artist information and dates.

Muse Machine
In keeping with a mission to educate, entertain and enrich our community, the Music Foundation of Spartanburg presents 20 performances in both public and private schools as a part of the Muse Machine Arts-In-Education Project (scheduled through The Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg). Concerts feature ensembles from the Philharmonic and artists from other genres. Additionally, The Music Foundation also presents a separate series of formal and informal classroom activities allowing students to interact with the Musical Director and members of the Philharmonic.
