The Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director Sarah Ioannides announce the following vacancies for the 2011-2012 Season:

Principal Cello auditions will take place the evening of August 31st at Daniel Recital Hall, 580 E. Main St., in the Blackman Music Building on the campus of Converse College in Spartanburg. To receive an audition time assignment, please complete the 2011-2012 SPO Registration Form by August 22nd. Return it along with a $20.00 deposit, refundable at time of the audition. Deposit payable by check or money order should be made out to Music Foundation of Spartanburg. Registration Form and deposit should be sent to the attention of: Audition Coordinator, PO Box 1274, Spartanburg, SC 29304.

The Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO) is a professional, per-service orchestra performing approximately 30 services annually in the Spartanburg, SC area. Duties will include full orchestra, chamber orchestra, and educational opportunities. The Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra is an equal opportunity employer.

Per service rates: Section Principal, $72 per service. Section Member, $62 per service.
